POMO Adverts
This is an advert for H&M directed by Guy Ritchie and starring David Beckham. I feel that this advert is postmodern as it pays homage to the film Ferris Bueller's Day Off as he is seen racing home taking various shortcuts through people's houses and gardens and running through bushes and jumping over fences, as well as the camera also flicking back to a car in which he is 'racing' against. This is similar to the H&M advert as David Beckham is scene running through gardens and streets trying to catch up with a car, creating the postmodern element of the advert.
This is an advert for Head and Shoulders shampoo, it features professional football Joe Hart. He looks to be injured on a football pitch, but the apparent injury is that he has an itchy scalp, the physio then comes on the pitch and washes his hair with Head and Shoulders and after that he is fine. This is a postmodern advert as the product is said to help you get rid of an extremely itchy scalp within seconds of applying it to your head, this is unrealistic as it wouldn't work as quick as this. It is also unlikely that someone would have an itchy scalp as bad as Joe Hart's is in the advert, this makes the advert a kind of hyper-reality view.
